Nalls Produce, Alexandria, VA – 8.26.16

Thanks to Michelle Matthews and the Kingstowne Communion for hosting last night’s show at Nalls Produce in Alexandria, VA. This crew also brought about 100 pounds of food for the Koinonia food pantry. Way to go, team!

The crowd braved the blazing heat and some errant commentary from the local chickens — I’m pretty sure they were just reminding everyone to support community agriculture!

The evening cooled as the sun went down, of course, and we settled in for a mellow night of acoustic music. Every performance helps me figure out just a little more of what I’m doing with these songs, why I’m doing it, and how to do it better, so thanks again. I’m already looking forward to next time.

A date for an upcoming Richmond, VA show will be posted soon.

Inviting Storms at home, on the road

At home

Hi folks, have you wrapped your ears around Inviting Storms to Town yet? You can download the album here on Amazon and order the CD here on CDBaby.

We’re still getting albums and perks in the mail to the preorder crowdfunders from the Indiegogo campaign. Thanks for your patience — Drew and his family moved to Richmond, VA just last week, and moving boxes took precedence over mailing boxes for a time.

In the meantime, do us a favor and share the name of your favorite track from Inviting Storms to Town on the NPR website for All Songs Considered. This could be a great way to help spread our new music!

On the road

We’re excited to announce two upcoming concerts in Illinois and Northern Virginia later this summer! Check out shows for more information, and email us if you have questions about them.

Album release day!

Three weeks since sending in the final recordings.

Six months since recordings began.

Fourteen years since Drew wrote his first song.

However you look at it, this day has felt like a LONG time coming… but we can finally say that Inviting Storms to Town has arrived!

We just got word that the CDs have shipped from the factory, so we have emailed digital download codes to all of our pre-order folks. CDs and other pre-ordered perks will follow soon in the mail.

If you didn’t pre-order, now’s the time to download Inviting Storms to Town on CDBaby or Amazon. If you’d prefer a physical CD, it will be a couple more days before it’s available to buy online or in person.

We’ll be posting more news soon, so “Like” our Facebook page or “Follow” this website to stay up-to-date on everything that’s happening. Thanks for your support!
